Privacy Notice

When you fill in a form on our website — your name, email address, WhatsApp number or Telegram or Instagram handle, the sports you are interested in, any message you write, and your consent choice with the date and time you gave it.

Automatically when you use our website — IP address, browser type and language, the pages you view, and which campaign or link brought you to us. That last one is stored in a cookie on your device for 90 days.

When you register for a tournament, a camp, or a membership — your name, contact details, date of birth, skill level and team details. Your Instagram handle is optional. If you provide it, it is shown on the public start list and may be tagged in event content. Leave it blank if you do not want this.

When you book or pay — booking and payment records. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider and our booking platform. We do not store full payment card details.

When you message us — the content of conversations on WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram, along with your profile name and messaging ID.

At our venue — membership records, attendance, and purchases at reception.

Photographs and video — images and footage from our courts, events and livestreams, in which you may appear.

• To answer your enquiries and arrange sessions, classes, courts and tournament entries
• To manage memberships and bookings
• To send you information about sessions, events and offers, where you have agreed to this
• To understand which campaigns, partners and links bring people to us
• To keep our website and community groups free of spam and abuse
• To meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations in Indonesia

• Your consent, for marketing messages and for showing your Instagram handle publicly. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Performance of a contract, when you book, pay or enter a tournament.
• Legal obligation, for tax and accounting records.
• Our legitimate interests, for security, fraud prevention and basic measurement of our marketing.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run BVA:

• Respond.io, our messaging inbox
• liga.tennis, and in future USport, our booking platforms
• Google, for advertising and measurement
• Meta (WhatsApp and Instagram) and Telegram, when you choose to message us there
• Cloudflare, which protects our website
• Xendit and our other payment providers, and our accountant

Some of these providers are outside Indonesia, so your data may be processed abroad. We choose providers that apply recognised data protection standards. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

• Contact and marketing data: while you are an active customer and for two years after your last interaction, or until you ask us to delete it
• Booking, payment and accounting records: for as long as Indonesian tax and accounting law requires
• Consent records: for as long as we hold the related data, so we can show what you agreed to
• Website and scan logs: 24 months

You can ask us to:

• show you the personal data we hold about you
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it
• stop sending you marketing, at any time
• give you a copy in a portable format
• explain how we use it

Write to bva@balivolleyballacademy.com. We will respond as quickly as we can and within the period required by Indonesian law. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Indonesian data protection authority.

Our youth programmes are open to under 18s. Where a participant is under 18, we ask a parent or guardian to give consent and provide the contact details.

We use:

• a first-party cookie that records which campaign or link brought you to us, kept for 90 days
• Google advertising and measurement cookies, which let us see which ads bring people to us and show ads to people who have visited our site
• Cloudflare cookies, which protect the site from automated abuse

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop you using the site.

Our venue hosts events, tournaments and courts with cameras, including livestreamed courts. If you attend as a participant or a spectator, you may incidentally appear in crowd, gameplay or venue footage. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating and promoting the venue for that incidental footage.

Separately, if we want to use identifiable photos or video of you in marketing, on social media or on our website, we ask for your consent as an optional checkbox at booking. That consent is never required in order to use our services, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing bva@balivolleyballacademy.com. Withdrawal applies to future use.

We only send marketing where you have agreed. Every message includes a way to stop. You can reply STOP on WhatsApp or Telegram, or email us. We never send payment links in chat. Payments happen only on our website or at reception.

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
